1. INTRODUCTIONS AND WELCOME 

Stephen welcomed everyone to the meeting and asked for introductions.
2. APOLOGIES

Five people said they were sorry they could not come to the meeting

3. NOTES OF THE LAST MEETING AND MATTERS ARISING

The notes of the last meeting were agreed.

Kim and Stephen are writing to people to say that it is important to come to Partnership Board meetings.
4. SERVICE USER UPDATE - supported by Sharon Lees

 
- Train the Trainers: the people who went on the Train the Trainers course did very well.

- NOW Cards: the Transport Minister said that we need to talk to bus companies about NOW Cards

police understanding learning disability - Police: the police have asked ELSUN to help train new police cadets to understand what it means to have a learning disability
- Reader Group: two members of ELSUN are helping to make leaflets easy to read
changing places - Changing Places: some members will help to make public facilities better for people with disabilities
5. Mencap

Rowena Atkinson and Mo Evans talked about volunteering. Volunteers for All is a team that wants to give everyone a chance to be a volunteer. Some people have already been on training. Stephen Smith talked about training to be a presenter . There will be more training and this will be planned on 6th July. You can find out more about this on the ELSUN website
6. Family Network

Jamie talked about the things they are doing to get more members. There is leaflet. They are talking to families of people in Transition. Jamie said that it was important to get more people from ethnic minority families.

The next meeting of the Network is on 4 August at Enfield Day Centre.
7. PROVIDER NETWORK
Heather talked about the last provider network meeting

- Providers will get Safeguarding Adults training
- The Preferred Provider Quality Group is working hard and all providers have been given feedback.
- Providers were asked to let ELSUN know about any access problems
8. Safeguarding Adults

We did not talk about this because Kevin was not able to come to the meeting 
any other business 9.  ANY OTHER BUSINESS

A letter will be written to find out who are the main members of the Partnership Board
Heather suggested that people take it in turns be Chair . We will ask members if they want to be Chair and tell them what they need to do.

Peter Shoesmith said he would be Chair when Stephen could not come
