10.  THE FUTURE
Kim explained that there had been staff changes in East Lancashire.
Kim was now Joint Commissioning Manager and Ian Turnbull was Assistant Joint Commissioning Manager. This is the same now as in Central and North Lancashire.

Kim explained that she had to work in Preston on In Control for the next 12 months. This meant that Ian Turnbull would have to look after two partnership boards. This was very difficult and it might be better to join up with BPR Partnership Board for the time being.
Members then decided whether to join up with with BPR Partnership Board or carry on for the remainder of 2007 with Members doing much more of the organising.
Several members said it would be better to merge:
- Leyanne said a lot of the agenda items are the same
- Heather said that the Task Groups cover the whole of East Lancs anyway
- Peter Shoesmith felt that if both Partnership Boards joined together it would make our voice more powerful.
- Irfan it would bring us into line with the PCT. He also said that HRV members need to be kept informed about local issues involved.
Chair of meeting A question was raised: Who will be Chair and Co Chair if the Board joins up with with BPR?
It was agreed by the Members to join up with BPR Partnership Board until it becomes clearer who can help while Kim is working on In Control.
